Wspieraj Seniorów: Jak Uzyskać 299,82 złotych Miesięcznie od ZUS
Each month, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) pays a special allowance of exactly 299.82 PLN to seniors. This benefit is granted to a specific group of recipients, and what’s worth noting is that it’s one of the few allowances that can be inherited.
The energy allowance is a benefit paid monthly by ZUS in the amount of 299.82 PLN, subject to annual indexation. This allowance is a form of support for paying energy, gas, or heating bills. According to ZUS, only a narrow group of retirees receives this benefit, including:
* Combatants and other entitled persons,
* Soldiers of the substitute military service compulsorily employed in coal mines, quarries, and uranium ore excavation plants, as well as construction battalions,
* Widows or widowers – retirees and pensioners of combatants and other entitled persons,
* Widows of soldiers compulsorily employed, receiving a pension or disability pension.
ZUS also pays the benefit to widows and widowers of persons entitled to the allowance. There is therefore a chance to inherit the benefit, but it only applies to the closest family members of the beneficiary.
It’s worth noting that this allowance is granted only upon application. Those wishing to apply for the benefit must complete the ZUS-ERK form, which can be found online or at a ZUS branch. They must also provide complete documentation, which includes:
* The ZUS-ERK application form,
* A decision from the Head of the Office for Veterans and Repressed Persons (confirming periods of combatant activity or repression in the case of combatants and repressed persons / confirming entitlements as a family member of a combatant in the case of widows or widowers),
* A certificate from the Military Draft Office, confirming the period and type of compulsory employment in the substitute military service – in the case of soldiers compulsorily employed,
* A certificate from the relevant military authority – in the case of widows of soldiers compulsorily employed.
According to data from 2022, over 14,000 people in Poland receive the energy allowance. This benefit is designed to support the most vulnerable groups of seniors, helping them to cover their energy expenses.
In recent years, the value of the energy allowance has been increasing steadily, reflecting the growth in energy prices. In 2020, the allowance was 284.55 PLN, and in 2021, it was 292.12 PLN.
If you or a family member is eligible for this benefit, don’t hesitate to apply. Remember to gather all the necessary documents and submit your application to ZUS. With this allowance, you can enjoy a more comfortable retirement, free from the burden of high energy bills.
Currently, the energy allowance is one of the few benefits that can be inherited, making it a vital source of support for the closest family members of the beneficiary.
